24HR BUSINESS GUIDE: DETROIT EDITION

The timing couldn’t be more perfect to travel to Detroit for business. After years of suffering the effects of bankruptcy the city is going through a revival and the world is once more embracing the rich-history of this city. If you are traveling to Detroit for business, don’t just skip out of town as soon as you are done…we encourage you to stay and discover this dynamic city…

10:00 am

Wake up at the beautifully designed, The Siren Hotel. The chic interior of this hotel will fool you into thinking you’re on vacation and not there for work… You can always have breakfast in the hotel however, we always like to try a good local find. Grab an Uber to Rose’s Fine Food…this is not fancy but it’s worth it. This is a legendary diner in Detroit and you will find no better breakfast! | Rose’s Fine Foods, 10551 E Jefferson Ave.

12:00PM

Best part of taking a little time to ourselves during a business trip is to enjoy and discover a new city as much as time allows us to. Finding local finds to shop is always a favorite for us – in Detroit, you can enjoy curated finds in the small shop inside The Siren Hotel (think locally-sourced candles etc). Another favorite is Posie Atelier, a floral and product shop with a super curated selection. | Posie Atelier, 1435 Farmer St Suite 120

3:00 pm

If there’s one thing you must do while traveling for business in Detroit is make time for Art. In reality, you won’t be able to escape it because it’s everywhere. Literally. From street art to contemporary galleries…there’s something for every taste. Our favorites are the following: For off the beaten path check the African Bead Museum and for local artists we recommend Galeria Camille ( only an 8 min. drive from the hotel)

6:00 pm

Grab dinner at San Morello where the menu from the James Beard award winning chef, Andrew Carmellini will leave you wanting to travel to Southern Italy. Yes, please!

9:00 pm

The Candy Bar is the best spot in town for a nightcap....not only is it located inside The Siren Hotel which means you can stumble right to your room but it’s aesthetically beautiful and will take you back to the golden age of travel. Between the space bringing us back to an old-era of glamour and the superb cocktail selections …you will want to come every night during your stay.
